The former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder was spotted at Wits' training session at Bidvest Stadium this morning, and is understood to have penned a deal with the Johannesburg-based team.
Pelembe once again teams up with his former coach Gavin Hunt, who originally spotted the 31-year-old and brought him to SuperSport United in 2007.
Pelembe later joined Sundowns in July 2009 and largely impressed for the Brazilians.
However, he featured sparingly last season, scoring once and providing two assists in 10 League starts.
Pelembe's contract with Downs expired last month.
