PSL transfer news: University of Pretoria part ways with Shoyisa

Shoyisa made 26 League starts in 2014/15, but was surprisingly transfer-listed by the club in June.

AmaTuks coach Sammy Troughton has now confirmed Shoyisa has been granted his clearance a year before his contract was due to expire.

Ex-Polokwane City man Vukile Mngqibisa has since filled the void left by Shoyisa's departure, having played alongside Tuks skipper Tebogo Monyai in the 1-0 loss to Golden Arrows.

"We parted ways with him and Shoyisa has moved on, and I don't know where the man is," Troughton tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"Yes, he was transfer-listed and we eventually agreed to try and help the boy. We gave him his clearance and we gave him his settlement.

"So I don't know if he is training anywhere else at the moment.

"I actually intended to give him a call today to see how he is doing."

He adds: "The reason why we put some of these players on the transfer, it is because these guys need to play.

"It's not that they fail at Tuks but there are younger boys and we want to encourage them to get some game-time somewhere."

Shoyisa joined Tuks from Thanda Royal Zulu in 2011.
