Platinum Stars players are said to have been promised bonuses in a bid to avoid relegation

According to a source close to Dikwena, the players are set to receive R10 000 for every win and R5 000 for draws.

Stars are currently sitting at the bottom of the log, on 17 points after 24 games.

Dikwena have only registered three Absa Premiership victories this season and look set to get relegated.

They have let themselves down by losing concentration in key moments in matches, dropping points despite taking the lead on quite a few occasions. That's going to cost them dearly, unless they can do the unthinkable in the remaining six matches of the campaign.

According to an official at Dikwena, the bonuses have been introduced in a bid to motivate the players during this difficut period.

“Yes, there has been bonuses set for players,” said the official.

“We still confident that we will survive the relegation ",he added.

Stars will host Baroka FC at Royal Bafokeng Stadium on April 4. Roger de Sa's men will be looking for their first league victory since December 16, when they beat Bidvest Wits 1-0.
