Zulu joined AmaZulu on a free transfer earlier this month after being released by Chiefs at the end of last season, having made 98 appearances across all competitions during his four-year spell with the Amakhosi.
The 28-year-old left-back has since revealed that he is adapting well to his new environment in KwaZulu-Natal and that the presence of a number of familiar faces in the dressing room has helped him to settle in at the club.
"It was easy for me to blend in with the team because the way they play suits me very well," Zulu said on Wednesday.
"Having the players that are here in the team made it much easier for me because I know most of the guys and they welcomed me very well. Credit must also go to the technical team who made things easier for me by communicating and showing me the directions."
The former Maritzburg United defender could be in line to make his league debut for the club on Friday when AmaZulu go head-to-head with reigning DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
"The preparations for this game are going well," he added. "So far so good. We took all the positives from the previous game against Cape Town City. We fixed all the mistakes that were there and the whole team is preparing well. We are ready for the game against Sundowns."
Friday's crunch-clash between last season's top two teams is set to take place at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, with kick-off scheduled for 17:00.
