Owen Da Gama has labelled Pogiso Sanoka's red card as "childish" after his 10-man TS Galaxy side suffered a narrow defeat to Stellenbosch FC.
After earning a credible point against Kaizer Chiefs in their opening match of the season, TS Galaxy succumbed to a narrow 1-0 defeat to Stellenbosch on Wednesday courtesy of a solitary goal from Ashley Du Preez.
Da Gama's side had their backs up against the wall from the early stages of the match after defender Sanoka was shown a straight red card for handling the ball in an attempt to prevent Judas Moseamedi a chance on goal.
The veteran tactician was left unimpressed by the 29-year-old's actions and held little back in his criticism of the former Maritzburg United player during his post-match press conference.
"It's so childish to get a red card like that, that is unacceptable at this level of football," Da Gama said.
"Strikers are going to close you down and we mentioned [before the match] that we shouldn't be too casual on the ball.
"To get a red card like, at this level is unacceptable and it put us on the back foot. Playing away [from home] and getting a red card, it puts you on the back foot and it makes things so difficult for you.

Da Gama also criticised the match officials for allowing Du Preez's goal before suggesting that he would look to bolster his squad before the transfer window shuts.
"Apart from that, I also thought the goal they scored looked offside from my perspective, it looked very offside, a clear offside," he added.
"But we also we mentioned that Dimgba, when he gets the ball on the right-hand side – he's left-footed – he's going to cut inside. He's scored the same goal before I arrived here, he scored the same goal where he cut in and he had a shot and he scored.
"So, to allow that to happen is not acceptable at this level of football, it's truly not acceptable but we will deal with it. We will fix up where we need to fix up. I have had my concerns on one or two players and I have stated that to the chairman and we will try and address things and fix up where we can."
