Orlando Pirates Happy Jele: Our focus is the 2013 Carling Black Label Cup against Kaizer Chiefs

Bucs were held to a 0-0 draw by Leopards at Orlando Stadium in the Champions League on Saturday, but Jele, who wore the armband in the absence of suspended Lucky Lekgwathi, says he is satisfied with the result.

“We will take this point and move on,” the 26-year-old tells the club’s official website. “Obviously we would have loved to win the match but unfortunately that just wasn't to be. The most important thing is that we didn’t lose and that is what we need to focus on and move forward.

“Although I am disappointed we didn’t win I am satisfied with the result. Those guys [Leopards] are halfway into their season but yet we were still able to hold our own against them. We still have five games to play, that is 15 points to play for. No team is guaranteed points – we all must fight for them.”

Pirates face Chiefs in the Black Label Cup at Soccer City on Saturday, and Jele insists Bucs are determined to defend the trophy they won last season.

“We have to regroup now and forget about this match. The next focus is Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday and it is important that we are mentally prepared for this encounter so that we can successfully defend the Black Label Cup.”
