Nhlakanipho Ntuli honoured to play for Orlando Pirates

The midfielder will start training with the Buccaneers next week after joining on a season-long deal as he awaits his big move to Dutch side FC Twente.

snl24.com/kickoff yesterday reported that Ntuli might be given the famous number 10 jersey – a report which has since been rejected by club chairman Irvin Khoza.

For the player though, he just wants to get on the field and start playing for Pirates.

“I am relieved that the rumours have come to the end,” he tells snl24.com/kickoff. “I don’t have any problem with the number 10 jersey … I’m ready to wear any number as long as I get a chance to play. For me to play for Pirates is an honour in itself.”

Ntuli adds: “I was happy to hear the nice words from the chairman [on MetroFM]. It motivated me. I am very happy to play for Pirates. I hope to learn a lot from the senior players before returning to Europe next season.”
