The Brazilians' incredible 17-match unbeaten record was brought to an end by Benni McCarthy's AmaZulu On Monday.
"I mean it's unheard of to have invincibles in South Africa where a team goes the entire season unbeaten.
"But I think it was coming and credit to AmaZulu as they had a brilliant game plan and it worked for them.
"I mean Sundowns never really, really created any chances to win the game and I'm sure the coaches will agree.
"I don't think there was anything tactically wrong, just AmaZulu came with a plan that took Sundowns to areas they don't want to go.
"The two centre-backs of AmaZulu were very strong at the set-pieces.
AmaZulu closed the centre, so they forced Zwane to play wider and Shalulile to run wider. They knew with their two big boys at the back they would win the headers and crosses coming into the box.
"For Sundowns, the injury to Rivaldo Coetzee disrupted them and their ball circulation was a bit slow and not accurate.
"AmaZulu came with a plan to hit Sundowns on the counter, and it worked with the goal that Mulenga scored."
