After a season-opening with against Polokwane City, Maritzburg have gone three matches without victory – the latest being this weekend’s 2-0 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs.
It has left them with just four points and down in 13th place, two worse off than an Aces side who have looked dangerous, but just can’t seem to get the victories some of their play merits.
Having said that, their last match was a 1-1 draw against log leaders SuperSport United, who needed a late David Mathebula strike to ensure a share of the spoils.
