Greg Etafia's son snapped up by Cape Town Spurs

The son of former Moroka Swallows and Nigeria goalkeeper Greg Etafia has been snapped up by Cape Town Spurs.

National First Division side Cape Town Spurs have bolstered their squad with the acquisition of two more new signings ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

Spurs confirmed the arrivals of former Ajax Cape Town and SuperSport United midfielder Morne Nel and ex-Pretoria Callies defender Kevin Etafia – the son of legendary PSL goalkeeper and current TX Galaxy goalkeeping coach, Greg Etafia.

The latter, who operates as a centre-back by trade, was previously also on the academy books of Bidvest Wits, Highlands Park and TS Galaxy and arrives at the Cape-based side as one of 14 new faces.

Alongside Nel and Etafia, Spurs have also roped in Clayton Daniels, Michael Morton, Maurice Finck, Therlo Moosa, Jaydan Pietersen, Alucius Wagaba, Sithembiso Ngobe, Nazeer Allie, Thabiso Mpame, Logan Brown, Lubeni Haukongo and Leo Thethani.
