Free State Stars coach Phiri laments Sekola absence in losses to Chiefs and Mpumalanga Black Aces

Stars were demolished 4-0 by champions Kaizer Chiefs on the weekend after losing 1-0 at home to Mpumalanga Black Aces in their season opener.

Sekola, who won the Golden Boot last term with 14 goals, missed both games through injury.

Phiri is hopeful the 26-year-old will be able to make his return against Ajax Cape Town at Athlone Stadium on Wednesday night.

"Also upfront the loss of our top scorer Sekola has given us a problem," says Phiri.

"We don't have stability and all the players upfront are new. Sthembiso [Ngcobo] has just come into the club and we didn't take him out [against Chiefs] because we don't have another top man to keep us going.
