DStv Premiership match report Baroka v Bloemfontein Celtic 20 March 2021

Bakgaga made four changes, as they recalled shot-stopper Elvis Chipezeze, Vusi Sibiya, Denwin Farmer and Gerald Phiri Junior while Celtic brought three new faces in the form of Menzi Masuku, Siphelele Luthuli and Sello Matjila.

Siwelele came to the game on a back four games without victory and were desperate to revive their top eight hopes after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Maritzburg United the last time out.

Meanwhile, Bakgaga were also aiming to rekindle their top eight aspirations with only one win in seven matches after a heavy 3-1 loss to Stellenbosch.

Celtic broke the deadlock in the 19th minute courtesy of a strike by Victor Letsoalo from the centre of the box towards the bottom corner after he was teed up by Neo Maema and the visitors went to the break leading by an odd goal.

Bakgaga were down to ten men in the 69th minute after Chipezeze was red-carded for violent conduct but Richard Mbule managed to get the equaliser for the hosts in the last eight minutes with a strike inside the box after he was assisted by Goodman Mosele.

Celtic defender Justice Chabalala was also red-carded for violent conduct deep in stoppage time as the sides shared the spoils, with Baroka remaining in tenth place while Celtic were also stuck in 12th position on the log.
