Polokwane City and Stellenbosch FC settled for a share of the spoils after playing to a 1-1 draw in a Betway Premiership encounter on Sunday evening.
Sage Stephens's suspension allowed Stellies to give Oscarine Masuluke a start, with Chumani Butsaka giving his first outing since joining before the host featured sought after Oswin Appollis.
Former TS Galaxy playmaker Lehlogonolo Mojela continued his perfect outing for the Maroons on 26 minutes after he curled home in delightful fashion to make the deadlock.
Rise and Shine were constantly on the brink and looked to have conceded again through a potent finish from close-range by Devon Titus, but unfortunately it was ruled out for offside.
Mojela could've nabbed a first half brace through a set-play late in the half, but he shot high and wide on this particular occasion.
Defender Thabang Matuludi drew the host back on level terms on the stroke of halftime through a first-time shot after combining with a perfectly worked set-play.
Rise and Shine made a substitution moments after the break and had Hlayisi Chauke come on for Sibusiso Tshabalala, with Appollis withdrawn too and Bonginkosi Dlamini thrown in.
With opportunities few and far between, Chauke went close to giving the host the lead for the first time in the match through a snap shot but missed target.
The Maroons weren't out of it but kept the shape and posed a few problems on the break with the pace of Titus and Butsaka but had City well alert.
Both sides had chances later on to steal the win in particular the home team, but weren't able to profit and saw the spoils shared.
