Absa Premiership match report Golden Arrows v Black Leopards 21 August 2020

Following his maiden victory in charge of Leopards, Morgan Shivambu showed faith with the same line-up that overcame Maritzburg United, while Arrows welcomed back Edmore Sibanda in goal.

Lidoda Duvha were off to a bright start with a free-kick in a promising area forcing Sibanda in to a save after the hosts battled to sustain their defensive lines.

Abafana Besthende removed their anxious opening to take the lead on 17 minutes when Knox Mutizwa beat King Ndlovu from the penalty spot after Leopards handled in the area.

The lead wouldn't last long though as Mwape Musonda drew the visitors level with his seventh strike of the season from the spot after 27 minutes following a suspected hand ball in the area by Divine Lunga.

Lefa Hlongwane should've given Lidoda Duvha the lead eight minutes before the end of the half after a slip from Siyabonga Dube allowed him in on goal, but the attacker could drag his effort wide of the mark.

Arrows goalkeeper Sibanda went down with an injury two minutes from halftime and was duly stretchered off the field in place of Namibian international Maximilian Mbaeva.

Another injury-enforced alteration for Arrows 60 minutes on the clock ended Siyabonga Dube's afternoon following an uncomfortable stretch and he had his spot filled by Gladwin Shitolo.

Ntsako Makhubela strayed in a promising area three minutes later before controlling a ball in front of goal for a crack at Ndlovu, but it went wide after shooting on the turn.

Mbaeva was put into action in the final quarter once gain after stretching to collect a free-kick before parrying Musonda's dangerously looking strike from close proximity.

Following a quiet spell, Leopards netted the winner at the death after Musonda tapped in his second goal after Hlongwane's free-kick had th woodwork, giving his side back-to-back wins in the bio-bubble.
