In this edition of My Locker Room Secrets, former Orlando Pirates striker Bruce Ramokgadi hangs out the dirty laundry of the Soweto giants dressing room.
Whose locker room are we in today?
"Orlando Pirates and Bruce Ramokgadi's locker room."
Who was always late?
"To be honest, there's no one I can point out and say was always late. You lost your place in the team if you were late. That's how we were punished."
Any interesting ritual before they played?
"I guess everyone did it secretly. I relied on prayer. I grew up in a God-fearing family, hence my first experience with muti was at Pirates."
Who was the jokester?
"Most times it was me and Eddie (Edward Motale). Eddie as you know him, he's a natural comedian.
"I think he chose the wrong career (chuckles)."
Was it a Muti change room?
"Usually, we used to do it at the hotel not in the change room."
Who was the singer?
"It was me of course. I started every song in that change room."
Who was the best dressed and the worst dressed?
"Back then luxury clothes were not so important because we were always in camp. We played midweek and weekends, so we were always in our club's uniforms.
"But Teboho Moloi did love clothes I must say."
Rate the coach's team talk
"Viktor Bondarenko (laughs). He was straight to the point.
"He would tell you straight, my friend you are going to play in the first half, in the second half you are coming out. Regardless of whether you are playing well or bad.
"He would then turn his attention to your teammate, and for you my friend it's the second half. Are you ready for the second half my friend? (Huge laughter)."
