Jose Riveiro's former club FC Turku have penned a congratulatory message to the Spaniard and his coaching team following Orlando Pirates' MTN8 triumph over AmaZulu last weekend.
The Buccaneers lifted the coveted MTN8 trophy on Saturday after recording a narrow 1-0 win over AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, with Monnapule Saleng emerging as the hero on the day following his sensational match-winning free-kick.

Pirates' triumph was the club's fourth in the MTN8 era of the competition, and 11th overall, and saw Spanish coach Jose Riveiro lift his first piece of silverware since joining the Soweto giants at the start of the season.
Riveiro had previously held the reins at Finnish top-flight side FC Turku who were among those who took to social media to congratulate the 47-year-old on his success in the cup competition.

"Congratulations to José Riveiro, Sergio Almenara and Michel Bellver, who coached FC Inter's representative team last year, for [winning] the South African Cup championship," FC Turku said in a post.
Riveiro took charge of 102 matches across all competitions during his time with Turku, according to Transfermarkt, winning 56 games and guiding the club to the qualifying stages of both the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Conference League.
