Orlando Pirates have highlighted two players from Maritzburg United to be wary of when they clash in the Nedbank Cup this evening.
Pirates visit Maritzburg in the Nedbank Cup round of 16 at Harry Gwala Stadium on Saturday evening (18h00).
The Buccaneers, who have already bagged one trophy this season and continue to compete on three different stages, are eager to continue their good run that has seen them register four wins in their last five games.
With Maritzburg struggling at the bottom end of the DStv Premiership table, they will be hoping to lift their morale with a giant-slaying performance on home turf this evening.
The Soweto giants have since identified two potential threats to their progression to the quarterfinals of the biggest domestic cup competition, with both key figures in coach Ernst Middendorp's attacking arsenal.
"Judas Moseamedi: An imposing presence up front, the 1,9m striker has a penchant for delivering the goods on big occasions, and a clash against the Buccaneers could be just the right stage for another masterclass," read the Bucs' match preview.
"Daylon Claasen: The 31-year-old is another player fond of the big stage, and boasts plenty of experience in the midfield. Claasen is a versatile campaigner, who is just at home in the centre of the midfield as he is when operating in the hole behind the strikers as well as out wide."
