Teboho Moloi says Orlando Pirates will cope without Josef Zinnbauer

The Soweto giants will meet once again in the second leg of the MTN8 semi-final at FNB Stadium, with the Buccaneers holding a 3-0 lead from the first leg.

With Zinnbauer out of the country to attend to a family matter, his assistant Fadlu Davids Pirates will be the one calling the shots from the bench.

"It doesn't depend on Fadlu Davids, it depends on the players," Moloi tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"The players must just come to the party and not be complacent you know. Like I said before the first Derby, Chiefs is in a rebuilding stage. Ya they are still rebuilding and it's for Pirates to take advantage of this situation Kaizer Chiefs find themselves in. You know they are down, they are still trying to find their feet. They are struggling here, they are struggling there you know, and Pirates is solid.

"So at the end of the day these boys need to understand that Fadlu is not playing, Fadlu doesn't know anything about the Derby, he used to see [it] from afar. Some of the players that are there, the likes of Happy [Jele], [Ntsikelelo] Nyauza, Pule [Sithebe] the kit manager play an important role in telling these boys what the Derby is all about you know. Help the coach to understand what the Derby is all about. They must not allow Chiefs to get out of the situation they are currently in.

"I don't think Pirates will miss Zinnbauer, the players know what is expected. Like I said the Derby is not about the coach. It's about an individual player who really wants it. It's about somebody who really wants to make a name for themselves and stamp authority.

"It's not about the coach, the coach is just there to guide. Especially if you are a coach that understands the Derby, you hype the players and make sure you field the right team that will win you the Derby. But it depends on the players on the day, what it is that they want."
