Sundowns have qualified for the MTN8 semi-finals for a second time in succession after beating SuperSport United by 2-0 at the Tuks Stadium on Sunday.
The Brazilians have now been drawn against Orlando Pirates in the semi-finals of the top 8 cup competition.
"Yeah, I think it was never going to be an easy draw for anyone when you have four teams currently doing very well.
"You can expect anything, we could have had AmaZulu, we could have had Kaizer Chiefs and all of them are currently doing well at the moment," said Mngqithi.
"We just have to take whoever we get and trust in our process and trust in our team and we think our team is capable of defending our trophy.
"We will give our best shot and with all the respect that is necessary of course.
"We can never take anyone for granted in this competition and more especially this season every team is really working hard to show that they are prepared and we will give our best shot."
