Royal AM was dumped out of the MTN8 competition in the first hurdle by Orlando Pirates with a 2-1 defeat at the Chatsworth Stadium on Saturday.
Vincent Pule broke the deadlock shortly before half time but it was Thabiso Monyane who put Thwihli Thwahla to the sword with a second in the second half.
It was Monyane's first goal and a controversial one after Royal AM goalkeeper Xolani Ngcobo appeared to have saved the low shot before spilling it into the net.
Having taken time to digest the defeat, Royal AM president Shauwn Mkhize has taken to social media to voice her frustration with the results, particularly, Pirates' second goal.
"Pirates have beaten me, not once, but twice. With a goal that shouldn't even count!" she said via Instagram.
"But you have to learn a system of letting things go. it was painful. [you should] know that I also fall. Things don't always go my way all the time."

Royal AM will now turn their attention back to the DStv Premiership with an away clash against Sekhukhune United on Saturday.
The Durban side had a fairly good start to the season with wins against Kaizer Chiefs and Chippa United but fell to Stellenbosch and Orlando Pirates.
"We'll bounce back against Sekhukhune United," Mkhize added.
The Buccaneers meanwhile have been drawn against competition defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns in the semi-finals of the MTN8.
