Mosimane last season guided The Brazilians to an Absa Premiership and Telkom Knockout double, after previously lifting the league and Nedbank Cup titles in 2013/14 and 2015 respectively.
Sundowns are now in good stead to add the CAF Champions League trophy to their cabinet, after progressing from the group stage to the semi-finals of the continental showpiece.
Mosimane is also after the MTN8 crown, which is the only trophy he has yet to lift in his four seasons at the Chloorkop-based outfit, but says his primary focus is on winning matches before claiming the silverware.
"After the Tuks game [last season], in the morning, we were training yet we won the league, because we were preparing for [the next game against] Bidvest Wits.
"I am not a coach to calculate trophies. People put certificates on the wall it's not my [style]. I want to win every game; every game to me is important.
"How many trophies have we won? You know the history and statistics; I really don't care about those things," he added.
'Jingles' further explains the importance behind winning trophies, and says it is part of the club's culture, while hitting out at critics who claim that 'smaller' trophies are less significant.
"I told the boys when I came here [in 2012], whenever we enter the pitch and see a trophy at the entrance you must try to get your hands on it. Thats the motto," he said.
"I know somebody made a joke about us winning the eTV trophy last year... We win trophies to get into the mood of wining trophies, and after that eTV tournament we lifted two more. So the eTV tournament contributed.
"Somebody also made a joke about the Nedbank Ke Yona Challenge, and said, 'you win this match after playing against people who had just been picked.'
"I said, 'remember, before play Ke Yona it means you have won the Nedbank Cup.' Win the Nedbank Cup first and then you have chance to play for the Ke Yona Cup.
"It's about lifting trophies. it's our motto in this club. But yes, this [MTN8] cup has been a problem for us," he concluded.
Sundowns will travel to Port Elizabeth to face Chippa United in the first leg of the MTN8 semi-final at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Sunday.
