"The cup game presented us with an opportunity to have a look at a player like Hlanti, who's been out of the game for quite some time now," said Zwane after the game.
"I was impressed with his performance I think he did very well. He gave us that balance. As you know, we were playing Reeve [Frosler] on the left and he's a right-footed player. Although he has the luxury of using his left as well. But you could see that at least we had more balance."
For their semi-final clash, Kaizer Chiefs will either play Mamelodi Sundowns who saw off Supersport United, Orlando Pirates who knocked out Royal AM or AmaZulu who defeated Cape Town City. Chiefs will find out who their opponents are later this evening when the MTN8 semi-finals draw takes place.
