Hotto, a recent signing from Bidvest Wits, made two assists and was a constant thorn in the Chiefs' defence with his pace and trickery.
And the Namibian international says that it was important to forget about the first leg when approaching this match so as to guard against complacency.
"We came here with the mindest that it was 0-0. We knew it was going to be a different game and at least we managed to get the victory and we're happy," Hotto told SuperSport.
The Buccaneers face Bloemfontein Celtic in the final, who saw off both Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United on their way to the final but Hotto is confident of his side's chances given the 'quality' at their disposal.
"This victory is very big. It's a huge achievement getting to the final and we are looking to go all the way.
"With the quality we have in the team we can go all the way and achieve better things in the future," concluded the 29-year-old.
