Macheke helped Rovers secure promotion to the second-tier of South African football after reached the finals of the ABC Motsepe National play-offs finals in Mbombela over the weekend.
The North West-based side has also been joined by champions Hungry Lions from Northern Cape in the Gladafrica Championship.
Rovers manager, Tlou Segolela has confirmed that Macheke will be leading the team as they place the faith in the mentor who steered them to the professional football ranks.
"The coach has done well. Let's give him a chance and support," Segolela tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"We will keep the same technical team and sign some few players to bolster the squad for next season."
Rovers who secured R500,000 for their recent exploits of finishing as runners-up are also expected to retain former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Fortune Nkumane.
