Motloung: 'I feel sorry for Jomo Sono'

Cosmos are on the brink of relegation after being beaten 3-2 by TTM in their latest GladAfrica Championship match in Limpopo on Sunday.

eZenkosi now faces a must-win clash against TS Sporting in Tsakane and hope Pretoria Callies lose to Polokwane City at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday to keep their survival hopes alive.

As it stands Jomo Sono would need to perform a miracle to help his team survive relegation.

"It will be a sad day for South African football to lose Jomo Cosmos," Motloung tells KickOff.

"I mean they remain a great club that has produced renowned players both locally and internationally.

"I feel sorry for Bra J, for all the hard work has done for this club. It's a lesson to other clubs that if you don't win games you get relegated irrespective of your status in South African football.

"Everyone knows what's happening in the ABC Motsepe League, but I believe Bra J will find a way to bounce back into the top-flight of football."

Jomo Cosmos have won just three matches since the start of the current season and currently sits at rock-bottom of the standings with 21 points after 27 games.
