'Jomo is not someone who gives up easily'

Cosmos sit rock-bottom of the GladAfrica Championship standings six points adrift in their fight against a likely relegation.

Cosmos will need to win all of their remaining three league fixtures as they host their nearest rival TS Sporting on Saturday.

"To be honest, it's a tough one to call if you look at the gap between Cosmos and the teams above them, there's more than a five-point gap," Mabalane tells KickOff.

"The thing is Mjomana is also a very lucky person you see.

"I think they will fight until the end because relegation has its own psychological effects where you find a team could lose three games in a row, and you ask yourself what's happening.

"On some occasions, you can find a team that is fighting relegation could win three games in a row.

"So this one will go down to the wire, I cannot say Mjomana is already dead and buried because I know his luck always pitches up in the last minutes.

"But regardless of whether we are talking of luck or not, it would be very sad to lose a team like Cosmos.

"But Jomo is not someone who gives up easily, he never loses hope, and he is good at motivating players which is what they need right now.

"At this stage, there's nothing much he can do besides motivating the players. He's good at that, but otherwise, it will be until the end.

"But Mjomana loves football, so whatever happens he will continue with the team regardless of the division he's in.

"One way or another, he will still be involved in football."
