GladAfrica Championship Wrap

Richards Bay FC have been crowned GladAfrica Championship winners and secured automatic promotion to the DStv Premiership.

Two points separated league leaders Richards Bay and the University of Pretoria heading into the final day of the season on Sunday afternoon.

The Natal Rich Boyz were held to a goalless draw by Cape Town Spurs at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday, with the point securing the title an promotion to the top-flight.

University of Pretoria 0-0 Hungry Lions

University of Pretoria missed the chance of automatic promotion and had to settle for a play-off spot after a goalless draw against Hungry Lions on Sunday afternoon at ABSA Tuks Stadium.

A draw meant AmaTuks missed out on automatic promotion by two points in second place while Hungry Lions finished in 11th spot on the log.

Cape Town All Stars 0-1 JDR Stars

Cape Town All Stars, who had already booked their spot in the play-offs went down 1-0 against JDR Stars on Sunday afternoon at Idas Valley Sports Ground.

The Hammer Boys were three points shy of Igugu Lekapa and the promotion play-offs in fourth spot.
