Richards Bay 2-2 Uthongathi

Richards Bay remain top of the GladAfrica Championship standings by virtue of a superior goal difference after they were held by Uthongathi in a four-goal thriller on Friday afternoon at King Zwelithini Stadium.

Sakhile Hlongwa broke the deadlock for the Natal Rich Boyz midway through the first stanza from the penalty spot but Romario Dlamini levelled matters for the Cane Cutters on the half-hour mark.

Nkosikhona Dube gave Uthongathi the lead early in the second stanza through a penalty but Hlongwa equalised for the hosts on the hour-mark.

The Cane Cutters were reduced to ten men 12 minutes before time but they held on to the share of the spoils.

University of Pretoria 1-0 Venda Football Academy

University of Pretoria moved level on points with Richards Bay after edging Venda Football Academy 1-0 on Saturday afternoon at ABSA Tuks Stadium.

After a goalless first stanza, Kamohelo Pheeane scored the all important goal for AmaTuks five minutes before time.

Jomo Cosmos 1-1 TS Sporting

Jomo Cosmos were officially relegated on Saturday after they were held to a 1-1 draw by fellow strugglers TS Sporting at Tsakane Stadium.

Frederic Nsabiyumva broke the deadlock for Ezenkosi just after the half-hour mark but Mohau Mokate levelled matters for Abantu Bemthetho just before the halftime break.

Hungry Lions 2-0 JDR Stars

JDR Stars' hopes of a promotion play-off spot were dented after a 2-0 defeat against Hungry Lions on on Sunday afternoon at GWK Park.

Angelo Van Rooi broke the deadlock for Lions in the 24th minute and Delano Abrahams doubled their lead three minutes later.

Black Leopards 2-1 Cape Town Spurs

Cape Town Spurs remain precariously near the relegation zone after a 2-1 loss to Black Leopards on Sunday afternoon at Thohoyandou Stadium.

Lidoda Duvha broke the deadlock just before the half-time break and Eyona Ndondo levelled matters for Shaun Bartlett's charges on the hour-mark.

However, Leopards snatched the winner in the last minute to officially secure survival.

Platinum City Rovers and Free State Stars' slim chances of challenging for a promotion play-off spot slipped away after playing to a 2-2 draw on Friday afternoon at Profert Olen Park.

The sides remained in seventh and eighth place on the log respectively.
