In our latest feature, Where are they now, KickOff catches up with former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Thabiso Rammile reveals his life after football.
Rammile was once rated as the best left-back in the Premier Soccer League during his playing days.
Who am I?
"Thabiso, I started playing football at school in Potchefstroom, I also played in the Vodacom League. In 2001 I joined Maritzburg City.
"I played at Maritzburg City from 2001 until 2004. In 2004 I joined Mamelodi Sundowns."

My playing days
"You can ask any player who played during my era, and they will tell you I was the best left-back to have ever played in South Africa.
"I played my part in South African football. I'm happy with my contribution.
"I enjoyed my football at Sundowns under Paul Dolezar. I enjoyed my football until Paul Dolezar left Sundowns. At Celtic, I had a weight problem."

Did I make money from soccer?
"I did, but not enough. I made better money playing for the national team. At Sundowns, I was a youngster.
"At Bafana, the bonus was R26 000, and after-tax, it would be like R18 000."
Where I currently reside
"I'm still in Potchefstroom."
Jobs since playing the game?
"I own a football team, FC Potch who compete in the SAB League. I can't just fold my arms and not accomplish anything. You have to put food on the table.
"With this current government, it's too difficult for me to find a job. Football is all I know."

If I could do it again
"Lifestyle, we didn't care about saving money. We never thought about the rainy days. We used to buy unnecessary stuff, we talking expensive stuff."
