Last week, the club announced the signing of Ethan Chislett on a free transfer, with the Durban-born attacking midfielder now set to play in the South African top flight for the first time in his career.
It has also emerged that the Soweto giants are on the verge of signing Portuguese striker Flavio Silva from Indonesia.
On Tuesday, Chiefs confirmed that they have acquired Shinga, a 25-year-old South African left-back who has been playing in Portugal since 2015.
While it was initially reported that Chiefs were set to sign the defender as a free agent, his former club FC Alverca has since confirmed the amount they received from the South African powerhouses for Shinga.
In a statement posted on Alverca's info page on page, Alverca Premium, Chiefs are said to have paid a modest fee of €200,000 (approximately R4.1 million) to sign Shinga.
"Nkanyiso Shinga is leaving Alverca, following a full agreement with Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa. The deal was sealed for around €200,000."
The post added: "We thank Shinga for all his professionalism, dedication and commitment during his passage through Alverca. Good luck in this new stage of your career!"
This €200,000 figure is now reflected on Transfermarkt.
