Kaizer Chiefs' trophy drought that will stretch to nine years in the New Year has led to suggestions that the club's management has questions to answer about this matter.
Chiefs have sunk into a fading giant, without a trophy since May 2015 and currently on the market for yet another new head coach to take over from Cavin Johnson.

Amakhosi have already had Arthur Zwane and Molefi Ntseki running the rule this year while they have also had Steve Komphela, Patrick Mabedi, Giovanni Solinas, Ernst Middendorp, Gavin Hunt, and Stuart Baxter all being calling the shots since the club last lifted silverware.
Players have been brought in and released with every transfer window without any success.
"The performance has not been satisfying on the occasions that I have watched Chiefs so that is the first point of reference in raising my concerns," says former Chiefs defender Godfrey Walusimbi.

The Ugandan played 17 games through his half-a-season spell at Chiefs experiencing first-hand dealings with the club's management as his contract was terminated.
"So, talking from as far as I am and not being inside, I don't know what the problem is at the club.
"Could it be recruitment-related issues because the club has been signing new players without winning silverware.
"I doubt the problem is coaching related because how many coaches have come and gone with no success.
"There might be management-related issues here because they are the ones responsible for the recruitment of players and appointment of coaches.
"Have all the coaches that have come to the club been so bad?

"After having changed players and coaches this much with the team still not performing what then becomes the issue?
"It can only be an issue related to the decisions made by management.
"The authorities responsible for making decisions should be held accountable so management has questions to answer.
"With all the recruitments that have been done, have they been the right recruitments?
"Have the coaches that have been brought the appropriate coaches?
"If all these processes have been done badly then it means the problem is with management.

"The management must sit down and reorganise themselves considering all of what has happened.
"You can blame and change players and coaches all you want but the first stop should be the processes within the club.

"You can have good players but not have a coach that is compatible with those players and in that case it will it is management related issues.
"The players that you bring should align to the players that you have because that will influence the end product on the field," explains Walusimbi, who is now retired.
