Supporters Forum: Two bulls in one kraal at Chiefs

In this edition of Supporters Forum, KickOff speaks to Kaizer Chiefs die-hard supporter Musa Dladla about his long-standing affair with the Glamour Boys.

The businessman makes no secret that he is not impressed with the work of the children of chairman Kaizer Motaung at the club.

Name of supporter?

"My name is Musa Dladla. I grew up in Katlehong, but currently staying in Tembisa. That's where I'm residing.

"I'm self-employed. I'm running different types of businesses, and also own a soccer team, Musa United. I also run a kasi football tournament, Musa Dladla Games, in Katlehong.

"I have just started a security company, and I'm also running a funeral undertaker."

Club supported?

"None. I have always been a Chiefs fan. I was born in 1985, so growing up in the '90s, Kaizer Chiefs was dominating. I was nine years old when I started following the team and all the grown-ups were Chiefs fans, and I followed suit."

Are you happy with the bosses?

"I'm not happy because at the moment, I don't know what is happening with our team.

"When our chairman was still hands-on, the team was doing wonders. I understand age is no longer on his side. He worked so hard to build this institution, so now he has to look after his health.

"But now that he has handed over the reins to his children, things are not going well. You can't put two bulls in one kraal. You can tell by the results that somewhere somehow, opinions clash between Bobsteak and Kaizer Jnr."

Are you happy with the coach?

"I'm happy with Cavin Johnson. We can't say the problem is the coach. We can't change seven coaches but still we don't lift any trophy. We must learn to keep a coach for at least a season."

Are you happy with the players?

"There are players who deserve to play for Kaizer Chiefs and there are those who are unable to play for such a club.

"Some of the players need to move, and some need to stay. Keagan Dolly came from overseas to retire at Kaizer Chiefs. He is currently nowhere to be seen."

Who do you want them to sign?

"If we can get a forceful striker and a goalscorer like Iqraam Rayners. At the moment, we are struggling even to score one goal, let alone two."

Your message to the team?

"Kaizer Chiefs is an institution, so let's trust the process. Let's forget about not having lifted a trophy for the past nine years. Let's trust the process in order for us to bring back the glory days."
