As Kaizer Chiefs get down to the end of their ninth consecutive season without silverware so much will have to be done in seeking to find solutions.
The situation at Chiefs is now a mess with Cavin Johnson only leading the team on a caretaker basis until the end of the season.

Chiefs will now go through the last 13 league games without any trophy thoughts with Mamelodi Sundowns on their way to their seventh league trophy in a row.
Nine years without silverware spells of disaster under whatever conditions at a club like Chiefs.
"Something deep is happening at Chiefs and it needs to be solved immediately," points out yesteryear star Robert Nauseb.
Nauseb joined Chiefs ahead of the start of the 1998/99 season from Civics FC along with fellow countryman Mohammed Ouseb and lasted three years before leaving for Hellenic.
"Whatever needs to be fixed at Chiefs will be reflected on the field when the team starts doing what it is expected to do which is to win matches and trophies.
"How does it happen that a player who was top performing at his previous club now can't even convert a penalty at Chiefs?
"It is questionable.

"What is happening on the field of play is reflective of what we don't see off the field.
"The problem is bigger than the players and the coach.
"There is a big problem at Chiefs and solutions are needed.
"You can even bring (Jose) Mourinho to Chiefs, but I don't think he will get results.
"People who need decisions at Chiefs need to be honest with themselves.

"What hurts is that Chiefs is regressing while their rivals Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns are going forward.
"Even if we win two or four trophies now, we will not be able to catch Sundowns anymore now considering how far ahead they have moved now.
"I was watching the Chiefs game but halfway through I decided to switch to English football.
"There is no appetite to watch Chiefs anymore and fans are hurting.

"It used to be a problem when Chiefs finished just a single season without a trophy, but we are now approaching 10 years.
"The Chiefs that I identified with and the one that I played for had to collect a trophy or two so that Pirates and Sundowns can share the other one.

"This is straight forward.
"People need to start doing what needs to be done at the club if we really want the team to come back.
"We are losing faith in the team and next the team will end up losing support," says Nauseb.
