Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Daniel Matsau believes that with the addition of top striker Khanyisa Mayo to their line-up, the team can expect to score significantly more goals in their matches.
Kaizer Chiefs have made a strong impact in the transfer window, securing top talent upfront, including Flavio Da Silva, Etiosa Ighodaro, and Luke Baartman.

Matsau emphasizes that if the Chiefs' midfielders can learn to support their strikers during attacks, the team's goal-scoring issues will become a thing of the past in Naturena.
"I'm excited about the signing of Khanyisa Mayo; it introduces healthy competition among the strikers," Matsau tells KickOff.
"From now on, if you’re a Chiefs striker and you don’t score, you’re out."
Matsau believes that Mayo's finishing ability will help keep Chiefs at the top of the league standings.
"We missed a striker with his awareness inside the box," he said. "What I like about him is that he can play as a lone striker, as a number 10, or even as a right winger.
"While I can't say the puzzle is entirely complete at Kaizer Chiefs, we are moving in the right direction. We have been searching for someone who can finish opportunities effectively. If we find that, I believe we can challenge for the league title."
Matsau notes that while the midfield is improving, there is still a lack of movement into the opposition's box.

"Our supporting midfielders aren't making enough runs into the box, which often leaves our strikers isolated," he explained.
"Players like Mduduzi Shabalala need to make more off-the-ball runs, similar to what Gaston Sirino does, in order to support the strikers. Ninety percent of goals are scored inside the box. If we can focus on this, I see us scoring three goals in every match."
