Efmamjjasond Gonzalez's concerns at Kaizer Chiefs are growing evident, following the latest events at the club.
Gonzalez was left glued to the bench for 90 minutes despite the absence of Ranga Chivaviro, as Chiefs fired blanks in the goalless draw away at Royal AM on Sunday.

For a fit striker imported from South America at a fee, not to be used in a game in need of goals, suggests that Gonzalez hasn't won the confidence of Cavin Johnson during the long AFCON enforced break.
Instead of Gonzalez being given minutes, he had to watch as Wandile Duba was brought in late on for Ashley Du Preez.
There is reason to believe that Chiefs might be already considering planning ahead without the towering striker – who will want to return to familiar territory in South America.
Having now played 10 games without scoring since arriving at Chiefs, the 24-year-old is now days away from clocking 10 months without a goal.

Gonzalez didn't score in his last nine games at Bolivian club Real Santa Cruz where he played before joining Chiefs.
His last goal was on April 30, 2023, against Vaca Diez.
Days later it emerged that Chiefs are interested marking the start of his goal drought that has now stretched to 19 games.
The contact from Amakhosi suggests that he immediately switched off which then led to his goals drying up at Santa Cruz where he had already scored eight and finished as the club's top scorer.
Gonzalez was brought primarily as replacement for Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana but has done nothing to justify that is better than the Burundian who was offloaded despite scoring eight goals in 21 appearances in his first season.
While arguments could be that Gonzalez is still new at the club, it was the same for Bimenyimana last season.

The Colombian has played about 420 minutes including four games as a starter with so much to suggest that his style is not suited to Chiefs just like was the case with Bimenyimana.
A foreign spot being taken by a striker without goals is not worth it for Chiefs who will be forced to seek alternative options at the end of the season.
