Ilyes Mzoughi got down to work at the Kaizer Chiefs village on Monday morning with his usual fervent approach faced with question marks about his future in the Mauritania national team.
Mzoughi had Fiacre Ntwari, Brandon Petersen, and Bruce Bvuma on their toes as he barked instructions in the hope of improved fortunes for his goalkeeping department.

Ntwari has kept only a single clean sheet in seven games at Chiefs, creating a wave of uneasiness about the Rwandan.
Then, with Mzoughi, doing his job at the Soweto giants has come with doubling up his shift by doing the same for FFRIM (Fédération de Football de la Mauritanie).
Fulfilling the Mauritania duties has come with long-distance travels, which have forced him to be away during all FIFA dates.
His situation has been made worse by the long-distance travel to Nouakchott and all other cities that the Lions of Chinguetti have been to since July.
Aubrey Mathibe has stood in for Mzoughi whenever he has been away.
Mzoughi has been in the Mauritania national team job since November 2021 after joining from Tunisian club US Ben Guerdane having previously worked in Libya, UAE, and Saudi Arabia, amongst other countries.
In Mauritania, he has worked with Gerard Buscher, Didier Gomes and Abdou, who has since made way for Aritz Lopez Garai, who will take charge of the CHAN qualifiers.
