Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Thembinkosi Biyela says the current players will never bring back the glory days at Amakhosi.
The Glamour Boys are set to finish another Premier Soccer League season without a trophy, following their exit from the Nedbank Cup on Sunday.
Biyela says the reason anybody feels like they can hold their own against the former cup kings of South African football these days is because the Soweto giant tends to sign average players.
"It's not like luck has deserted Chiefs, these players are not good enough, period," Biyela tells KickOff.

"It takes a special player to play for Kaizer Chiefs not just anybody. Being a top scorer at some other team doesn't mean you will do the same at Kaizer Chiefs, there is too much pressure at Kaizer Chiefs.
"I was very disappointed at the weekend, yes they tried their best, but we can't blame luck for losing a match, in football you make your own luck.
"We can't keep on losing, especially to lower divisions teams, people no longer fear Chiefs. What happened on Sunday against Milford FC was so hurtful, I was so disappointed.
"Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, and Mamelodi Sundowns you need stars and big names in those teams.
"At Sundowns, we know they have Themba Zwane... People used to go to stadiums to watch Chiefs because they knew Siphiwe Tshabalala was there.
"Nowadays, if you go to a Chiefs match who are you going to watch exactly? Which Chiefs player is outstanding at the moment?
"Chiefs, they must just go back to their winning recipe and get big-name players that can perform because the current players are not giving us anything.

"We need players like Mshishi, it's not like Chiefs cannot afford such players, Chiefs are a big team they have money they can compete financially.
"It's only the big-name players who can bring back the crowd and glory days. At the moment they don't have such players.
"They need to get one or two big stars who are used to pressure because these average players struggle with consistency.
"Big-name players are never afraid of anything because they've been there before they are used to pressure."
