Former Kaizer Chiefs forward Benard Parker has opened up on why he's not yet 'excited' by youngsters coming through at the club.
Chiefs youngsters such as Wandile Duba, Mduduzi Shabalala, Samkelo Zwane and Mfundo Vilakazi have been thrown in at the deep end from the start of the season by head coach Nasreddine Nabi.
The Amakhosi youngsters have had a mixed impact, in some matches pressure seemingly becoming too big for them and in other matches showing good quality and winning matches for the Soweto giants.

Chiefs academy graduates go into the Soweto derby with much expected from them, after they showed glimpses of good potential.
Parker says the young boys need to show up their hand in matches of this magnitude, if they are to become household names in the game.
"I'm not so excited the youngsters not showing themselves or their true character when it comes to a big game, at a big stage, they have to try also show it at the big games and also at a big stage what they are about," Parker said at a # No Excuse event organized by Carling, ahead of the derby.
"If we can get to see much more of that then we should be able to realize and say 'Yeah we've got top youngsters that will become household name players'."
The former Bafana Bafana forward went on and revealed his concern when it comes to hyping up young players.

"With the young players coming through the system (at Chiefs), it is so exciting so see and also at the same time, I think it's for us internally to make sure that we make them realize what's the importance of them now in the first team," Parker said.
"My question mark is, even where I was there, always is consistency, not only consistency in performances but consistency in playing with your heart on the sleeve, hard work.
"If we can get more of that from our youngsters, I think the chances of improvement and growth will be more and also protecting them by not giving them any feeling of comfort in any way," the former FC Twente striker concluded.
