South African wonderkid Luphumlo 'Kaka' Sifumba has been included in an exclusive list of seven highly-talented teenagers to look out for ahead of the next FIFA World Cup in 2026. Here's a look!
The story
The 17-year-old is a midfield wizard who is increasingly coming into international fame thanks to his incredible ability with the ball at his feet. The Cape Town City Reserves talent is signed to Roc Nation Sports International, a sports management division of Jay-Z owned Roc Nation.
His now is now bound to be heard by many more after his inclusion in the The Athletic's My Football Journey: The Road to 2026, "a series following some of the most exciting young footballers in the world during a key moment in their careers," per the outlet.

Kaka is the youngest among the seven talents, namely; Salvador Mariscal (19) of Mexico, Kang Seon-Jin (19) of South Korea, Adrian Segecic (18) of Australia, Alfie Devine (18) of England, Demir Ege Tiknaz (18) of Turkey, and Bikash Yumnam (19) of India.
Hailing from the Philippi in Cape Town, the exciting maestro speaks of his humble beginnings in the challenging township streets, where he's had to overcome many significant pressures in order to realize his dream as a professional footballer and those who inspire him to get there.
