South Africa's No.1 fan shows up for Banyana Banyana

The story

It seems SAFA has organised a trip to Morocco for Mama Joy to go support the women's national team on their quest for a continental title.

The Orlando Pirates-turned-Royal AM supporter confirmed the trip with a social media post in which she thanked SAFA president Danny Jordaan for her travels.

"Thank you SAFA and Banyana Banyana for making my dream come true," she wrote on Twitter.

"I am here in Casablanca, Morocco, to support Banyana. You know the love I have for my team and you just fulfil it.

"Thanks, Dr. Jordaan, who am I without you?"

The road to greatness

Banyana have already booked their spot at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup by virtue of making it to the quarter-finals of WAFCON.

The side has thus qualified for their second successive global showpiece, and will be among the four African nations that will be representing CAF in the tournament set to be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand.

Did you know?

Mama Joy will also be at the 2022 men's FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this year, having confirmed the news back in April this year when she attended the WC group draw

Your thoughts, please?

Do you think Banyana, who will be in action against Zambia in the semi-finals on Monday night, can clinch the WAFCON title?
