Josef Zinnbauer congratulates Pitso Mosimane on CAF Champions League triumph

Mosimane made history last Friday as he led Al Ahly to a record ninth Champions League title to become only the third coach in CAF history to lift a second continental crown with two different clubs.

The 56-year-old previously won the competition with Mamelodi Sundowns back in 2016, among an incredible 11 trophies during his eight-year reign.

After beating Zamalek, the Red Devils mentor has earned plenty of plaudits for his momentous achievement just two months since leaving South African shores, and Zinnbauer believes there is still much more to come from 'Jingles'.

"We know what he can do. He did this very well here in this league and he makes it in another league now, congratulations," said Zinnbauer.

"He's a top coach with a top work in the past and now you see in the present it's the same. I'm happy for him, congratulations, and I know in the next year he'll win 100 percent titles."

Mosimane earlier lifted the Egyptian Premier League, though the title was already in the bag upon his arrival in Cairo after previous coach Rene Weiler led the club to an unassailable lead prior to his departure with just a handful of games remaining.
