Diouf joined Liverpool in 2002 after a historic 2002 FIFA World Cup with Senegal, in which they reached the quarter-final stage of the competition.
And now he's admitted, despite his longevity in the Premier League, he would have like to have played alongside the Al Ahly icon, who won seven Egyptian Premier League titles and the Africa Cup of Nations twice.
"If Aboutrika was Brazilian he would have been one of the best players in the world."
The two-time African Player of the Year went on to discuss African superstars Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, claiming they should resist the temptation of LaLiga and stay put at his former club.
"They complete each other and they do well at Liverpool," Diouf explained. "If one of them moves to Real Madrid or Barcelona he won't receive the same treatment they get from Jurgen Klopp.
"I wished I had a manager like Klopp when I was at Liverpool."
