"We now know what to do in September," Broos told media after the game.
"I was not disappointed with the performance. We fought and we played against a very strong Moroccan team. That was good and let's hope we can do it in September twice with two victories."
South Africa fell to a late goal in the Group K clash against Morocco. The 1996 Afcon champions took the lead early in the game through Lyle Forster who latched on a Sphephelo Sithole pass and outmuscled Morocco's Achraf Hakimi before powering a low shot home.
The home side, however, got back into the game in the second half through Youssef En-Nesyri's equaliser. From there, Bafana seemed to be content with a draw while Morocco relentlessly went at them - it came as little surprise to those watching the match when Morocco's Ayoub El Kaabi scored the winner in the 87th minute.
The results place Bafana at the bottom of Group K with an uphill battle to keep their hopes of qualifying for Afcon2023.
Bafana Bafana are still in search of their first Afcon after agonizingly missing out on the 2021 edition through a loss to Sudan, where a draw would have sufficed.
Broos's men are scheduled to host Liberia on 19 September 2022 before travelling to West Africa to take on the Lone Stars in the return fixture scheduled for 27 September 2022.
