Portugal-based South African winger Kobamelo Kodisang's hopes of being recalled to Hugo Broos' Bafana Bafana side have been dealt a setback after suffering a recent injury.
The 23-year-old was reportedly injured during a training session on Tuesday and has been ruled out for approximately seven weeks. The injury will come as a setback to a player who has been on sterling form since the start of the season.
Kodisang, who is spending the season with Moreirense, on loan from parent club SC Braga, was recently awarded the Liga Portugal 2 Player of the Month award for the period August/September.

Since his arrival, the winger contributed eight goals and three Assists in his 13 appearances for the second division side.
The injury will also come as a disappoint to a player eyeing a return to the Bafana Bafana set up. Kodisang has not featured for Bafana Bafana since 2021 and had been tipped to be in contention for a a call-up for Bafana's next outing after head coach Hugo Broos confirmed that the national team is tracking the attacker's progress.
With Bafana's next game scheduled for March next year, Kodisang is now in a race against to recovery and regain momentum to warrant a place in Broos' side that will take on Liberia in a crucial Afcon qualifier on 23 March.
