Pitso: 'Hugo Broos has no excuses'

Bafana are set to meet Morocco on Thursday in their opening Africa Cup of Nations qualifier with the aim of booking a spot in the continental competition to be hosted in the Ivory Coast.

After missing out on a place at this year's tournament in Cameron, South Africa have been paired with Liberia in Group K of the CAF in the competition's qualifiers after Zimbabwe were suspended by FIFA from participating in the tournament.

Mosimane believes that Bafana Bafana needs just four points to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations Finals in Ivory Coast in 2023.

"He is our coach. We have appointed him. We should support him and I think he is here for the next six years if I am not mistaken.

"Let's be patient, but I think we should qualify for the Cup Of Nations this time", said Mosimane.

"I mean guys you can't tell me we can't beat Liberia, we only have to beat Liberia that's all.

"It's three teams remaining, forget Morocco, they will beat Liberia home and away, you know that so let's beat Liberia here and let's try not to lose in Liberia to qualify.

"One win with one draw then you are in the Cup of Nations.

"We are just three teams, so we can't miss this train, we are there, Hugo doesn't have an excuse. That one is delivered, it is in the bag," Mosimane added.

South Africa has suffered a huge blow ahead of the Africa Cup Of Nations qualifier match against Morocco after defender, Terrence Mashego withdrew from the squad due to injury.
