Overjoyed Mayambela family drive 3000 kms to watch son make Bafana debut

An overjoyed Mayambela family made the 3000-kilometre round-trip journey by car from Cape Town to Johannesburg to watch Mihlali make his Bafana Bafana debut.

Mayambela's mother Lungiswa, was delighted to witness her youngest son win his first cap for the men's senior national team against Sierra Leone in an international friendly at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

The 26-year-old made the trip worth his family's while as he scored on his debut in an impressive 4-0 win.

Older brother Mark alongside their mother and siblings were in attendance to witness Mihlambi's first appearance.

"Yes, we drove all the way from Cape Town as a family to watch Mihlali make his debut for Bafana Bafana," Mark Mayambela tells KickOff.
