'It’s an opportunity for the players' - Hugo Broos urges new faces to grab Bafana Bafana opportunity

Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo broos believes that the absence of the squad's regulars could be a blessing in disguise for the national team's new faces.

The players reported for camp on Sunday and began preparations for two upcoming friendlies against Mozambique and Angola.

However,  Broos expressed his disappointment on the long list of injures and unviability of players, including Percy Tau, Terrence Innocent Maela and Nkosinathi Sibisi among others.

"It's a little bit disappointing because the plan was to play, certainly, to start against with the same team that played against Sierra Leone but with all these injuries it is not possible.

Some of the new faces on the team include Pirates duo Miguel Timm and Monnapulule Saleng, as well as TS Galaxy midfielder Bathusi Aubaas.

"On the other side it's an opportunity for the players who are now here to show their quality and to force maybe a place in the selection of Bafana Bafana in the future."

Bafana go into their next encounter in search of a third consecutive win after collecting victories against Sierra Leone and Botswana in September.

"So our ambition will not decrease for that [accommodating new players], I want victories. Like we wanted September against Botswana  and Sierra Leone. We will not be happy if we a defeat.

"On the other side I hope that the players are ready for those two games to show their quality and that they are motivate to become a Bafana Bafana [regular] in the future and to have a winners' mentality."

Bafana Bafana will take on Mozambique on Thursday at the Mbombela Stadium in Polokwane before locking horns against  Angola on Sunday at the same venue.
