FIFA set to make call on SAFA lodged complaint

The world governing has a sitting scheduled for today and is expected to make a judgement.

SAFA filed a complaint about the way their match against Ghana was handled by Senegalese referee Ndiaye Maguette at the Cape Coast Stadium who handed the Black Stars a controversial penalty which ultimately made the difference.

For SAFA justice will be for the match, which they say was unlawfully manipulated to be replayed at a neutral venue with the Maguette being sanctioned along with the rest of the officiating team who also hails from West Africa.

An independent report by retired referee Ace Ncobo outlining the dubious calls made by the officials accompanied the SAFA complaint submission to FIFA. 

Ghana has responded with vile to the case put through by SAFA labelling it with words as irresponsible, baseless, frivolous, and lacking merit.

The CAF Executive Committee will meet on Thursday, a day before the Extraordinary CAF General Assembly to decide on the dates and draw.

They will be tasked with deciding on the draw and dates for the Play-Offs.

Ten countries are through but only five will go through to the World Cup next year in Qatar.
