Hugo Broos' team is in Group K along with Morocco, Zimbabwe, and Liberia in qualifiers for next year's tournament to be played in Ivory Coast from June 23 – July 23.
For the opening group match to be played on the next FIFA calendar dates of May 3 – June 14, Bafana Bafana will travel to Morocco while Zimbabwe host Liberia.
Then in the second group match, Bafana Bafana will welcome Limpopo rivals Zimbabwe while Liberia plays at home against Morocco.
The next pair of fixtures will be on September 19-27 and will be back-to-back games against Liberia with the first a home match for Bafana.
The Lone Stars appear the weakest team in the group and will be must-win games for Bafana Bafana.
Fixtures number five and six will be played on March 20-28 next year against The Atlas Lions at home before the short trip to Harare for a date with The Warriors.
The top teams in the group qualify for the AFCON finals.
With host nation Ivory Coast playing in the qualifiers for purposes of preparation, CAF has confirmed that should the West Africans finish outside the top two in their group then the worst-ranked team among the runners-up will not qualify.
The Elephants are in Group H with Zambia, Lesotho, and Comoros.
