The senior national team suffered defeat away in Morocco in the opening match of Group K of qualification for the 2023 AFCON finals and must now win the next two games against Liberia to avoid the misery of missing out again.
There are only three teams in the group after Zimbabwe were kicked out of the qualifiers but the top two will still go through with the Atlas Lions already having just about secured their ticket.
"Let's be positive and let's support the team," Broos said at a press conference held on Tuesday.
"I know that these guys will give their lives to be in Ivory Coast next year. I saw that in the last camp.
"They were motivated. They wanted to go to the limit.
"But if you play against a team with many more qualities than yourself you can only fight and that we did against France, and Ghana but then in the end the quality will decide in the end. That is football.
"There can be a miracle somewhere that you win against a big team. A team with less quality wins against a big team.
"It can happen in football. So again, let us believe in the group that played against Morocco. I believe in it.
"I believe in the guys, and I give them confidence because I know they will be motivated to win two times against Liberia, and it is possible.
"We don't play against Morocco so again support that team," says Broos adding on about the matter of the quality.
"What is the real problem of South Africa? The real problem in South Africa is that we don't have those quality players.
"We don't have those players like our last three opponents, Ghana, France, and Morocco have. When you see those teams, Ghana, 90% of the players are from Europe. I don't have to explain which players are playing in the team of France. All players are in big teams in Europe.
"We don't have those quality players who are playing in Europe," says Broos.
The Belgian also spoke of his disappointment with what is happening in the junior national teams who have largely been inactive and have no clear-cut plan set out for them as feeder teams to the senior team.
